AWARD-WINNING DOCUMENTARY ABOUT HOMELESS VETERANS MAKES ITS RHODE ISLAND DEBUT

WHAT: Screening of When I Came Home, winner of the New York Loves Film Documentary contest at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. The film tells the story of Herald Noel, an Iraq War veteran living on the streets and suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. It will be screened as part of a campaign to support Iraq War veterans struggling with homelessness in Rhode Island. The event will also feature experts able to speak to the media about the plight of homeless Iraq War vets in RI. There will be pizza and cider for all.

WHO: Representatives from Operation Stand Down; the RI Coalition for the Homeless; the RI Office of Housing and Community Development; A. Alfred Taubman Center for Public Policy.
